Amazing book for its time
What interested me in reading this was the Masters Thesis by a friend \"Negotiating kingly power in the Roman de Silence\" by Doreen Ransom.

Great story, weak translation
I was assigned this book for a second-year university course, and while I loved most of the aspects of the story itself, I found the translation very weak and awkward.

Entertaining and Informative (Weird Intro, Though)
I thought the story \"Silence\" was very good, surprisingly interesting and engaging given its age.
