My second bedroom had an old fashioned bulky and heavy ceiling fan that needed to be replaced long time ago. My wife finally found what she wanted and we’ve got this beautiful lightweight light fixture with fan. I am not going to talk about how great and elegant this lamp is looking in my room and how convenient a remote control is (you can read it from other reviews people left here) but will tell you little bit about an installation process. Upon opening a box the first thing I noticed was a quality of this fixture. All metallic, no cheap plastic parts, all screws perfectly fit and easy to work with! After reading some reviews I was kind of disappointed about what people say about dimming feature- not possible to make it dimmable and what is actually the listing itself says. So here I want to share my experience how to deal with that. First of all I want to say yes, it is dimmable. Not with the provided remote control, but with the regular dimming switch you install on the wall (please see a picture, it’s on the left side of the remote control). All you need to do is to replace a regular wall switch with the dimmable one. Than install the lamp. Here is a nice thing that it is very easy to install! The electrical box in my ceiling has 3 wires - two blacks and one white. The lamp has one black wire, one white wire and one copper ground wire. So just disregard one of the black wires on you ceiling (basically insulate it) connect white to white and black to black, and ground wire, if you want, to some metallic part of your ceiling electrical box, and you are good to go! As you can see on the attached video my lamp IS dimmable now. Of course somebody will say that on a lower dim fan probably will stop working because of lack of electrical power (both lights and fan get the same power supply) and that’s what I was thinking too. Surprisingly even on a lowest dim fan is still working with no interruptions. Definitely the fan doesn’t need much power to perform which makes it work even on low voltage and also the motor doesn’t make any noise. So all the noise you can hear is a power of wind that fan created (and trust me it is powerful) which makes a fixture ultra quiet. So I would recommend a manufacturer to change their listing description to “dimmable but not with the remote” lol. You can also notice some barely audible static noise on my video. First I was thinking it was a fixture doing that but simply changing the bulbs I realized that was the bulb issue (bulbs are not included anyway so it is your choice which ones you prefer to install). The second “not noisy” ones were dimmable daylight so I replaced the soft light back since my family likes them more. So now we have an amazing, compact, fancy looking dimmable light fixture with powerful fan (speed can be adjusted with the remote by the way) in my second bedroom. I’m very happy with unbelievably easy installation and my wife is happy how great the room looks like now! And you all now that happy wife is happy life lol! Highly recommended product!
