    Kit comes with all electronics, instructions, screws and pre-cut panels you just punch out. Would be nice if they had included a little piece of sandpaper to smooth rough edges but I had some lying around. You will need your own small Phillips head screwdriver though!All in all, this kit was super easy to assemble, sound quality is better than expected for a tiny wood box, and it's very cute in my kitchen while I'm doing the dishes. Not super high quality for a Bluetooth speaker but it's a DIY project, not top of the line audio! Could probably be assembled by an 8-12yo.

    My 8 year old grandson, with a bit of help from older sister, enjoyed assembling this speaker and using his mom's phone to play music. It has a nice sounding speaker for its size and worked perfectly after assembly. Good clear instructions with pictures. Since the speaker box is made of wood, not sure how long it will last but at least it isn't more plastic to the landfill when it breaks. Nice birthday gift for kids who like to build things. The kit helps them learn to read and follow instructions.

    I know this states for older children, but myself and my 5 year old put this together and we had an absolute blast. He loves taking things apart and putting them back together and this little kit is perfect. Once completed I helped in connect with his tablet, which was really easy - and he played his favorite songs and we had a little dance party. I love how engaged he is and this is in part to kits like this! Don't hesitate, just grab one

    Not sure why the product description says its for teenage boys because my 9-year old daughter loves it. After we build it together and paired it with her iPad, she couldn't stop laughing when her favorite music came streaming through the speakers, and once she realized it plays at a distance she started coming up with pranks she can do with her new Owl speakers lol. Highly recommended!

    We love having lots of crafts on hand for the kids when they are "bored" and I am done watching them look at their devices. This box has a lot of the normal craft elements that we like, puzzles, and the added bonus of a little STEM if you want to highlight it.

    The kit comes with everything you need to get started and has all the pieces and very clear instructions on how to assemble each one. You will need access to batteries for some of them.

    We did these with my two girls and both of them loved then and the electronic parts were interesting enough for them to ask insightful questions about the how's and why's they work which is awesome.

    Cheap enough to add as something new to try with your kids but also complete and engaging enough that your more experienced kids will still have a good time. Highly recommended.

    I acquired this bluetooth speaker kit from Cyoest to build with my 11-year old and for him to use it with an MP3 player. The kit includes two speakers, a circuit board, battery holder, and the wooden pieces for the box and decorations.

    The instruction sheet is a two-sided, four-color pictograph with clear steps to get your speaker built. Some parts are installed with tiny Philips head screws and these were a challenge for my child. You need to supply your own screwdriver (contrary to what the Amazon listing says) and in our case the manual dexterity just wasn't there yet. Maybe your child is more skilled with small parts, but be aware that these screws are really little.

    The decorative pieces have a pattern on one side and blank on the other, so make sure the side you want to see is facing out. You install these with little wood pins that you can install with your fingers, but would be easier to install with a pliers.

    The electrical connections are easy if you follow the instructions. Some are keyed but others are not. Once together we popped in four AA batteries (SEEKING LED Rechargeables from Amazon) and flipped the switch. The speaker powers up with an old Windows jingle. There are no lights so your only power indicator is the switch position.

    We paired the speaker with my cell phone (look for "Z-horse bluetooth speaker") and it found it right away. Music came through the speakers with clarity, just like from other similarly-sized bluetooth speakers. You control the speaker volume with your device volume control.

    Later, we paired the speaker with an MP3 player (Innioasis model Y1) and it worked just the same as the cell phone.

    This is a fun little kit with a reasonable price and my son loves it.

    This product is made in China.
