Perfect fit.
You are looking at a 45 year old Sure SM58. I was a Touring Audio Engineer for Sounds Good, Inc. from 1973 to 1885 and worked exclusively got International acts with a 30,000 seat flying sound system You would be shocked to know how many very famous people have used this mic. It's one of the things I kept when I moved on to another career.In the pictures you can see both of these covers are similar but there are some minor differences.The element cover on the left is the original and the one on the right is the new one. On the Mic, is the new replacement screen.Look closely and you will see that the mesh on the original is a little tighter than the replacement. The replacement is also about 3/16" taller. Not a big deal.I got this to replace the original because the acoustic foam in the inside of the original screen is starting to dry rot. I need to contact Sure in the near future for some replacement foam. It's glued in and a lot of work removing it all and glueing the new foam back in. Yes, it needs a 'special' glue. Thank goodness for ultrasonic cleaners.All in all, this is a very nice replacement screen/cover and it's made quite well. The asking price for this is crazy good. I can easily recommend this if you are in need of one of these. Very good product.
