If you’re in a desperate situation, buy these. If you’re not, and need something that will last beyond a total of 8-hours of wear (over the course of 3 different times), but something else. Their sizing is true, and they don’t really stretch out when worn (like most shoes). So your child will complain about their shoes hurting if they have to wear them longer than a couple hours or if they have to walk/stand a lot in them. The shiny patten leather will start to come off and separate from the shoes after the first good scuffing, and there’s no way to repair it. We were short on funds and desperately needed a nice pair of dress shoes for our daughter’s winter concert. Otherwise I would never have bought them.
