  • This keypad is compatible with all the wireless keypad garage door openers from liftMaster since January of 1993. Apart from using a key or remote control to open and close the garage door, you can use it to set a four-digit code as a lock as well.
  • Using this private four-digit code, you can be reassured that only you and the people you trust in your household know the code and can open it.
  • However, like the others, you can also add a temporary access code for the deliveryman, guests, and other service personnel. It is different than your personal code and gets removed after a certain time.
  • Moreover, for added security, it uses security+ 2.0 and security+ rolling code technology. This will make sure you receive a new code on the opener every time you use it to open or close the door. As a result, it will become difficult for people to know the code.
  • Besides that, it comes with a protective flip-up cover for weatherproof protection. Other than that, it has a backlit keypad for you and others to be able to read the numbers in the dark.

Recently as the weather got colder, my Homelink in the car could open the garage door opener as usual, but could not close it. It had never happened before. Then the phenomenon started happening with my Craftman original remotes. Finally, even my MyQ app couldn't close the door. The hardwired panel on the wall could open and close the door normally thus I know the opener works. So I figured it was probably time to reset the garage door opener pairing with all the remotes and while I was at it, to install a keypad and maybe get some new remotes. This set of a keypad and 2 remotes is exactly what I was looking for.I reset the garage door opener and followed the provided instructions in the set to pair. For the few days during the freeze, when I really wanted the garage door opener remotes to work as I have a detached garage, I couldn't get the pairing done consistently despite many tries. The keypad worked but only one remote could pair, and it wouldn't activate the door opener reliably. Then the keypad stopped activating the door opener. Since they cannot be depended on, I didn't use any of them during that period. When the weather warmed up a little and I could stay in the garage longer, I decided to call Chamberlain support for help. They guided me through about the same steps, and well well, the keypad and the new remotes all managed to pair with support on the phone! Dumbfounded me but at least they now work. However, my MyQ and the old original remotes still couldn't pair even with support's help. It got me thinking that the freezing cold weather may somehow have been a factor in this pairing problem. As it got warmer, I've successfully paired all the remotes, new and old, the keypad, MyQ and even all the Homelinks. Everything works now and the keypad is a welcome addition, as are the spare new remotes.If you experience similar trouble pairing in cold weather, maybe give it another try pairing in warmer weather. By the way, Chamberlain support walked me through pairing the keypad with their standard steps and it worked! Could be that I've already the done the red learn button steps in the instructions previously but I didn't need to do it when they were on the phone. Go figure.

Works well and easy to program. Is compatible with the yellow program button in Chamberlain openers. The only draw back is that the original Chamberlain key pad you only needed to press the enter button to close the door. With this keypad in order to close the garage door you need to enter the code and press enter. Just few extra steps, but it works.
