I never thought to replace these seals until I saw a bit of rubber hanging down from the group head one day on my Breville BES870XL. The original seals lasted for about 5 years making at least 2 coffees per day - not a bad innings really.There are heaps of instructions online for how to replace the seal - it is quite straightforward (remove the water tank, lay the machine on it's back, unscrew the wire mesh with an Allen key [one actually came with the machine], pry the old seal out, clean everything, put the new seal in, put everything back together). New seal has been in for several month, it keeps pressure and seals well. Being a 2 pack I now have a spare for next time this happens.

Compared to the original Breville gasket, they feel a bit rough when closing the portafilter on the grouphead. They fit very well, it solved my issue with the original gasket leaking after a few years of daily use. Up to now (3 months of use) the gasket is holding up, so I am happy with my purchase. It's just that feeling of roughness that I have when closing the portafilter, the original gasket is much smoother, it felt like it was lubricated compared to this replacement part. I would recommend the purchase nonetheless.

I bought another product previously, and had to return it because it would leak during an espresso shot.
After installing this one, no more problems. Works so far just like oem without the expensive price and shipping cost. I have the breville express. Ordering from breville costs 17$ for 1 with shipping. This comes with two.
