There are heaps of instructions online for how to replace the seal - it is quite straightforward (remove the water tank, lay the machine on it's back, unscrew the wire mesh with an Allen key [one actually came with the machine], pry the old seal out, clean everything, put the new seal in, put everything back together). New seal has been in for several month, it keeps pressure and seals well. Being a 2 pack I now have a spare for next time this happens.

After installing this one, no more problems. Works so far just like oem without the expensive price and shipping cost. I have the breville express. Ordering from breville costs 17$ for 1 with shipping. This comes with two.
