The O2 absorbers are not individually wrapped
So I got these 1 gallon bags and their fine except the O2 eaters are all in 1 vacuum sealed bag and NOT individually wrapped.......which means once you open the bag to use just 1, it activates the other 49. WTH?That was thoughtless....doesn't take an engineer to understand that. If you choose to buy these then i would suggest buying a pack of the O2 eaters separately. I did and they are all individually wrapped.

The bags seem to be of a good enough quality. The oxygen absorbers were all packaged in one vacuum sealed bag. There was no indicator on the bag to let you know whether the absorbers were still good. I was not educated enough to understand that, the minute you open the vacuum sealed pouch, the oxygen absorbers will activate. That was my fault. You need to know that you have to have all of your mylar bags filled, ready to have the oxygen absorbers placed in them, and ready to be sealed. However, in doing more research, these oxygen absorbers are not of a sufficient size to handle a 1 gallon bag.

I tried two totally different vacuum sealers from different manufactures with same results. When you close the sealer to draw a vacuum, the surfaces of the bags close so tightly that you can not draw a vacuum. They seal fine, but without pulling a vacuum first, they leave way too much air to safely preserve food. I have used another brand of mylar bags that do work.
