Works well, but not without faults
This mount works as intended. It attaches to the trumpet over both the bell and the leadpipe, and the padding ensures that your horn won't come away with any scratches. Having used it for a few outdoor gigs where I'm moving around some, it's done it's job in keeping my phone secure quite well. However, there are a couple of annoyances.The whole thing feels pretty cheap, material wise. I've had this for a month and already the plastic shows signs of warping. I don't see this lasting more than two or three seasons, but I could be proven wrong.If you have a trumpet with a brace between the leadpipe and the bell, you're going to have a hard time finding the right placement for the mount. Too far forward and the balance between the bell side and the leadpipe side of the mount will be off, causing a noticeable tilt; too far back and you run into your third valve ring. Even on a trumpet without that middle brace, it can be hard, as the clamp on the bell side can get tight while the leadpipe side remains loose.Considering this is currently a near $30 product, it should be better. But it does work, so it's a worthwhile purchase until better and/or cheaper phone lyres become available.

An excellent accessory for my trumpet, doesn't shake around or move at all and I feel secure mounting my phone on it. The soft padding on the inside is perfect to avoid scratches to the leadpipe/bell.
The phone mount location is also great perfect to shoot a POV video while playing.
I only wish there was an option for different colors, but a great buy nevertheless. A must have for any trumpet player!
