Says sterling but there are seam lines from a plated base metal. I swim in a chlorine pool multiple times a week which turns my proven sterling jewelry black and requires a polish. I forgot to take these off after a swim and they didn’t turn. They also inflamed my ears after a few days of wear which sterling never does.
