The Exceptional MC: How to deliver sensational events Kindle Edition

4.4 4.4 out of 5 stars 3 ratings

To make your event a success, you need an exceptional host - or MC - and this book will help you do that. It outlines the preparation, calls and briefing sessions that need to happen before an event takes place; it covers equipment, sound checks and speaker liaison during the event; it tackles troubleshooting, what to do when guests don’t turn up, crowd control, making an impact without dominating an event, and even having an emergency speech ready just in case one of the speakers can’t make it.

It also looks at what happens after the event and how a good MC can take a decent event and turn it into something exciting and memorable, while at the same time taking the stress and pain away from you, the organiser.

If you are about to run an event and want your MC to be equipped to manage it, or if you are looking to hire an exceptional MC, then this book is for you.

I personally know the authors. I write the recommendation - not because they are friends (they are) - but solely based on the fact that I have bought and have read the book. It's good, short, to the point, precise, useful, clear and not expensive. Period
