Perfect fit for Samsonite Carry On
Easy to install. Perfect fit. Bag rolls smooth again. Can update after a few trips under the belt of these new wheels to see how they hold up on the globe trotting.Old wheel on the bag had a plastic hub/rim design that over my years of traveling for work had disintegrated. I ordered this set in hopes they would be a match after comparing some measurements and they were expected to fit.They fit perfectly.To install them I used my Cobalt metal drill bit to drill through the old metal axle stems that Samsonite rivets into place. Once that rivet was removed, then a pair of pliers was able to pull the axle housing out.To install the new wheels i used 2 washers on each side for spacing and then slid the pen and lock screw in. Torqued them down and ready to go.Only tool you really need to get going if you dont own one is a drill bit designed to chew through the metal axle most suitcases are using. Once that is out of the way the replacement wheel assembly can go right in its place.Really impressed with the number of spare parts as well. It comes with 4 wheels but double the axles, screws, and washers in the event you need to replace one or one is defective.Give it a 4 of 5 as there were no instructions and cant attest to their durability yet.

The replacement procedure was straightforward. Pry off the plastic bolt head covers. Saw through the original axle between the wheel and the wheel holder with a hacksaw. Then replace the wheel and bolts, including a washer outside both sides of the wheel (not inside). It's nice that 2 hex wrenches were included with the kit! Highly recommend this kit to give new life to your suitcase!
Tip: Don’t just replace the broken wheel. I found that you get much smoother rolling by replacing all 4 wheels, even if the other ones aren’t broken.

My Genius Pack 22" carry on spinner served me well for 8 years then one of the wheels broke. Genius Pack couldn't help me at all with spare parts. The OwnMy 50 x 18mm hard rubber wheels turned out to be a perfect replacement for the original plastic wheels and after replacing all 4 wheels, the suitcase rolls much better than with the original wheels!Reviewed in the United States on December 21, 2023
