4G cellular technology - “What makes SkyAngel911FD different?” SkyAngel911FD has no monthly service fees of any kind. Once you buy the device you will never pay to use it. SkyAngel911FD is similar to an “OnStar" for Emergency Situations. This premier alert system provides freedom with security. With the touch of a button, you can talk with 911, anytime, from virtually anywhere there is cell service. Other products like a traditional Personal Emergency Response System (PERS) only allow you to call for help at home. This allows you to take it outside and down the road. Unlike a PERS, SkyAngel911FD works both indoors and outdoors to ensure anyone has peace of mind knowing that help is always available. SkyAngel911FD will use any available cell tower so you don't have to worry about coverage. (Cell coverage is not available in all areas - this works similar to a cell phone) You must be able to speak to 911 to tell them your location.

79 years old, with several health conditions: Because it is comfortable, I wear it every day. I tested it once in the place I was most likely to fall (bottom of the stairs). It worked just fine with the drop motion. I will test it in a month in the kitchen to make sure appliances don’t block the signal. I’ll update this post then. And I always put it on the floor in the bathroom where I can reach it if I fall out of the shower. No, I don’t sleep with it, but it is on the headboard where I can reach it if I need it, and the blinking light on it tells me where it is in the dark. I just kind of wish it still had a good GPS in case I’m unconscious and can’t speak. Update: Been wearing this for six months now. Test it monthly. Charge it every other night. This model does not have GPS (wish it did, along with 5G). Funny story: I was at the children’s museum, earthquake exhibit, jumping up and down on platform to see how strong and earthquake we could produce. Suddenly the 911 operator was talking to me thru SkyAngel. We all laughed and apologized to the operator.
14 months after purchase, it is still working just fine.

On April 23rd 2023 I got up at approximately 12:30am, my blood pressure dropped and I fell to the floor. As soon as I hit the floor my SKYANGEL went off. I was able to give my address to the 911 operator. If I had not had my SKYANGEL I would have been laying there for hours as I was not expecting company until the next afternoon. I had 3 compressed fractures to my spine. WHAT I'M TRYING TO SAY IS MY SKYANGEL IS WORTH EVERY PENNY I PAID FOR HER. SHE IS ALWAYS IN MY POCKET EVEN WHEN I GO TO BED. DO NOT HESITATE TO BUY HER IT REALLY GIVES YOU PEASE OF MIND. OH!! BY THE WAY I'M 80 years old.

I was excited to receive this, charged it and tested it immediately,as directions suggested, and it worked. That's the last good thing I could say. It's bulky to wear under clothing. I bent down to feed my dog and the button hit my loose pajama top and called 911. It has two little LED's on the side that are indicators of charge and cell connection. Button blinks all the time. If you wear it outside your clothes, you glow like a Christmas tree. The darn thing works TOO well to be practical. When I was trying to box it up to return it, I inadvertently touched the SOS button and called 911. The button doesn't have to be pressed to work, it just has to rub lightly against something. I fear that on its way back to Amazon, it will call 911 a dozen times. I guess I'm glad it works, but this is ridiculously sensitive and a nuisance so not practical unless you want to be constantly apologizing to 911 for annoying them unnecessarily.

I call the phone number on instructions left a message . I received a call back in a reasonable time. I asked about the GPS and explained to me there's no gps u would have to give your address. Also 911 confirmed they can not see my address I would have to provide it to them.
