Product Description

Jiffy peat pellets are Ideal for starting your seeds without any mess. All you have to do is just add water and the pellet will expand once the pellet has expanded you can plant your seed. The pellet has a thin net holding it together. Once your plants are ready to be transplanted all you have to do is transplant directly into the ground or container and you will minimize transplant shock and root damage. This pellet is a 36mm and will expand (1.50in x 1.50in.)

1,000 Count Package came as a bulk box, exactly 1,000 in the box with only 3 damaged beyond use. Which is only a 0.3% defect rate, you can't get that good of a defect rate on electronics. I do recommend this product for anyone seeking to start plants from seed, as they literally streamline the process without the use of starter pots which normally get destroyed during transplant. Very cost effective with no waste. Even the cardboard box they came in is biodegradable.

Netting breaks open easily

The netting breaks open easily and spills out if you aren't careful. There are definitely other products that work better for seed starting, like coir with netting.
This is however a good product if you have highly alkaline water because peat tends to be on the acidic side.
